When is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is available from 2:00 pm. On your day of departure, we kindly ask you to check out by 11:00 am.Feel free to ask us about a late check-out. 
You are also welcome to store your luggage with us and enjoy all hotel facilities – including the spa, pool, fitness room and our private bathing area – on both your arrival and departure day.
Are the rooms suitable for allergy sufferers?
Upon request, we are happy to provide allergy-friendly duvets and pillows – please let us know at the time of your reservation. All rooms are fitted with carpet.On request, we can also carry out an additional cleaning using our Hyla air and cleaning system – simply let us know.
Please note that there is a dog and a cat in the hotel.
Is the hotel suitable for solo travellers?
Yes, our hotel is ideal for solo travellers who appreciate a quiet location close to Salzburg. We offer spacious single rooms at no extra charge.
The personal atmosphere and the excellent connection to the city ensure a relaxed and uncomplicated stay.
Is the hotel suitable for a stay with babies and children?
Yes, as a family-run hotel, we warmly welcome families. On request, we are happy to provide baby equipment such as a baby cot and high chair.Our location close to nature and the relaxed atmosphere create ideal conditions for a comfortable and enjoyable stay with the whole family.
Are there on-site parking facilities and an electric vehicle charging station?
Yes, there are plenty of free parking spaces available directly in front of the hotel. For electric vehicles, we also offer an on-site charging station for an additional fee – so you can start your stay near Salzburg comfortably and stress-free.
Is there a hotel bar or lounge at the hotel?
Our hotel bar is open daily until 10:00 pm and offers a selection of coffee, tea, drinks, beer, and carefully selected wines. During the summer months, our terrace and lounge invite you to relax and unwind.Even after 10:00 pm, you are welcome to continue your evening in a relaxed atmosphere in our conservatory.
Is there a spa and wellness area at the hotel?
Yes, access to our wellness area is already included in your room rate. Enjoy relaxing hours in our indoor pool and fitness room (open daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm), as well as in our sauna area (open daily from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm). 
On request, we are happy to switch on the saunas earlier for you – simply contact our reception.

For your comfort, cosy bathrobes and towels are provided in your room, and slippers are available at reception. A small tea bar in the wellness area adds to your relaxation.
 
Please note: Swimwear is required in the pool area, while the sauna area is a nudist zone.
Is there an indoor pool at the hotel?
Yes, our light-filled indoor pool is open daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm and invites you to relax. It also offers direct access to the garden – perfect for a peaceful and refreshing break.
Are children allowed in the pool, at the lake, and in the wellness area?
Families are very welcome at our hotel – especially in the indoor pool and at our private bathing area at Lake Auschneidersee. It is just a 5-minute walk away and features a spacious sunbathing lawn, sun umbrellas, and comfortable loungers for relaxing moments in nature.Please note that access to the sauna area and relaxation rooms is only permitted for guests aged 16 and over.
Are massages offered at the hotel?
Yes, we offer a selection of relaxing massages. Our range includes, among others, Hawaiian massages, classic full-body and partial-body massages, as well as foot reflexology treatments.
 
We recommend booking your preferred time in advance by email to ensure availability.
Is there a fitness room at the hotel?
Yes, our air-conditioned fitness room is open daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm and offers you the opportunity to stay active during your stay.
 
Whether you prefer to start your day with a workout or unwind after a day exploring Salzburg, you can exercise here in a relaxed atmosphere.
Are dogs allowed at the hotel?
Yes, dogs are welcome at our hotel. The fee is €15 per dog per day (food not included). Please let us know at the time of your reservation if you will be travelling with your four-legged companion.
Is smoking allowed in the hotel?
Our hotel is a non-smoking hotel. We kindly ask you not to smoke in the rooms or in any indoor areas.
Is there an airport transfer or taxi service?
We are happy to arrange an airport transfer from Salzburg Airport on request. Please let us know at the time of booking so we can organise everything for you in advance.Salzburg Airport is only a few kilometres away. Alternatively, taxis are available directly at the airport – the journey to Hotel Melanie costs approximately €18.
Do the rooms have air conditioning?
Our rooms and public areas are air-conditioned, ensuring a comfortable indoor climate even on hot days. Combined with our location close to nature, near forest and lake, and the fresh mountain air, you can enjoy especially relaxing summer days.
Is there a breakfast buffet at Hotel Melanie?
Enjoy a varied and delicious breakfast buffet, served daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 am. We place great importance on regional, high-quality products, many of which are homemade.We also offer a breakfast to go – ideal for a flexible start to your day.
Are food intolerances catered for?
On request, we offer milk alternatives (vegan) and gluten-free bread – free of charge and subject to prior notice.Please inform us of your dietary requirements at the time of booking or at the latest upon arrival.
Is there a bicycle rental service at the hotel?
Yes, we offer city bikes for our guests. The use is free of charge – perfect for exploring the surroundings of Salzburg in a relaxed and comfortable way.We recommend reserving the bikes in advance.
What additional services does the hotel offer?
We are happy to assist you with the organisation of your stay and can arrange the following services for you:

How well is the hotel connected to public transport?
Our hotel is very well connected to public transport. Bus line 36 stops directly in front of the hotel and takes you conveniently to the Europark shopping centre. Bus line 181 connects you to Salzburg’s Old Town (Mirabell Gardens) as well as to the main train station (Zellerstraße stop, approx. a 5-minute walk away).
During your stay, you will also benefit from the free Guest Mobility Ticket, which allows you to use all public transport throughout the entire SalzburgerLand region. We are happy to send it to you by email before your arrival – so you can be mobile from the very first moment.
Is there a restaurant at the hotel or is dinner available?
We do not have a restaurant for dinner at the hotel. However, we offer a small selection of snacks in the evening.
We are also happy to recommend excellent restaurants in the surrounding area – from traditional Austrian cuisine to international specialities. Our reception team will gladly assist you with personal recommendations and can make reservations for you on request.
 
What are the cancellation terms?
You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 3 days before arrival, giving you flexibility and peace of mind when planning your stay.For later cancellations, the conditions stated in your reservation will apply.
Is the hotel suitable for business travellers?
Yes, our hotel offers ideal conditions for business travellers. Quiet rooms, free high-speed Wi-Fi, a desk in every room, and complimentary parking ensure a comfortable and productive stay.The excellent connection to the city of Salzburg also allows for quick and easy access to meetings and events.
 
How sustainable is Hotel Melanie?
Sustainability is very important to us. We focus on regional and seasonal products and use LED lighting as well as our own photovoltaic system to ensure a responsible use of energy.We also clean in a resource-efficient way using modern steam technology and place great importance on waste reduction, including the use of glass bottles.
 
Our commitment has been recognised with the Austrian Ecolabel, which stands for a certified and sustainable hotel operation.
Are there any additional costs on site?
No, all prices include the local tax and all applicable charges – there are no additional costs on site.
Is late check-in possible?
Yes, late check-in is easily possible. Simply let us know in advance – we will take care of everything and ensure a smooth check-in, even outside regular hours.
What attractions are near the hotel?
Thanks to our proximity to the city of Salzburg, you can reach many attractions in a short time, including Salzburg’s Old Town, the Mirabell Gardens, Hohensalzburg Fortress, and Hellbrunn Palace.The SalzburgerLand region with its wide range of excursion destinations, as well as the nearby Berchtesgadener Land, also offer countless opportunities for nature experiences and day trips.At the same time, you can enjoy our peaceful location close to nature – ideal for combining city visits with relaxation.
Do all rooms have a balcony?
Almost all of our rooms feature a balcony – perfect for enjoying fresh air and relaxing moments outdoors.Only one room on the ground floor is not equipped with a balcony.
Ist eine Vorauszahlung notwendig?

Is a prepayment required?
No, no prepayment is required. You can conveniently pay for your stay at departure – no deposit is needed.

Is there any additional important information?
 

Children up to 3 years stay free of charge in an extra bed.

The fee for dogs is €15 per night.

Please note that a minimum stay of 3 nights applies over New Year’s Eve.
